قرأ الحمار أفكار حنكشتيكا في رأسه، هذا الصباح وأحس بتردده، وقال له: لماذا تخشى الناس من حولك؟ لماذا ترتعد فرائصك من الحكومة وبوليسها؟ لماذا لا تدع أفكارك تخلع ملابسها كل صباح، وتخرج للناس عارية بلا زينة ولا عطور كالحقيقة؟

أجاب حنكشتيكا مرتعدا: كيف أضمن أنك لست الجاسوس المدسوس في رأسي؟

The Donkey read Hankashtika’s thoughts this morning and felt his uncertainty. He asked him: why do you fear from the people around you? Why are you scared to death from the government and police? Why don’t you let your thoughts take off their clothes, every morning and go out naked without their makeup and perfume, as the truth?

Hankashtika replied trembling: How can I be sure that you’re not the spy who sneaked into my head.
